Copiers on Cape Cod — successor to Cape Cod Business Systems
Advantage Business Systems acquired Cape Cod Business Systems Inc. in 2023. If you bought or leased a copier from CCBS, you are in the right place: Xerox sales, leasing, service and toner for Hyannis, Sandwich, Falmouth, Woods Hole and every town out to Provincetown — year-round, not just in season.
The Cape Cod Business Systems acquisition
For years, Cape Cod Business Systems Inc. was the office equipment company Cape businesses called when a copier went down. In 2023, Advantage Business Systems acquired CCBS. The customer base, equipment records and service history came with it — and so did the obligation that comes with being the company a town hall in Sandwich or a medical practice in Hyannis depends on.
What changed is what those accounts now have behind them. ABS is a Xerox dealer with a New Haven, Connecticut operation running parts inventory, a dispatch team you reach by phone, and a technician bench trained on the current Xerox line — AltaLink, VersaLink and PrimeLink. Cape customers moved from a single-market dealer to a regional one, without losing local coverage.
What did not change is the coverage itself. We did not fold the Cape into a "we'll get out there when we're out there" route. Cape Cod is serviced year-round. The offices here run through the off-season — town departments, schools, harbormasters, real-estate brokerages, law firms, medical practices, marinas and inns doing their booking and billing in February — and they get the same response we give Boston or New Haven.
If you were a CCBS customer and never got a clear answer about who services your machine now, the answer is us. Call 508-833-9769 with your serial number and we will pull up the equipment, tell you what contract or lease it sits on, and get a technician scheduled.
What Cape offices get from us
On-Cape service, year-round
Jams, streaks, fuser and drum faults, error codes and finisher problems — handled on-site in Hyannis, Sandwich, Falmouth and the Outer Cape in January the same as in July.
Toner and supplies shipped to the Cape
Supplies ship against your actual meter readings, so a Falmouth or Woods Hole office is not waiting on a mainland courier guess.
Seasonal volume, sane contracts
Cape print volume spikes in season and drops off after Columbus Day. Our LeaseFlex terms and cost-per-page pricing follow that curve instead of locking you into a rigid five-year commitment.
The accounts CCBS built
Town halls, harbormasters, chambers, medical practices, real-estate brokerages, marinas, inns and school districts — the same offices Cape Cod Business Systems served, now on Xerox equipment.
Copier sales, leasing and repair by Cape town
Hyannis is the commercial center of the Cape, and it prints like it: Barnstable town departments, hospital and medical group back offices, banks, law firms and the Route 132 business corridor. Hyannis offices tend to need real multifunction volume — an AltaLink with a finisher, not a desktop unit pretending to be a copier.
Sandwich and Bourne sit at the canal, first stop on the Cape from our mainland route. Town offices, schools and professional practices here get covered on the same run that serves Plymouth, which is why response times on the Upper Cape are closer to a mainland call than most people expect.
Falmouth and Woods Hole are their own case. Falmouth carries a heavy mix of medical, municipal and real-estate printing, while Woods Hole runs on scientific and research administration — grant paperwork, reports, color figures and scan-to-file workflows for institutions and their vendors. Those offices care about scan quality and secure print as much as speed, and we spec accordingly.
Out the Mid and Lower Cape — Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans and on to Provincetown — the pattern is smaller offices with sharp seasonal swings. That is exactly where a flexible term and honest cost-per-page beat a five-year lease written for a mainland office that prints the same amount every month.

Cape Cod copier questions
- What happened to Cape Cod Business Systems?
- Advantage Business Systems (ABS) acquired Cape Cod Business Systems Inc. in 2023. Existing CCBS accounts, service history and supply records moved to ABS, and the Cape has been covered by our Xerox-trained service team ever since. Nothing was shut down — the coverage was expanded.
- Do you actually service copiers on Cape Cod in the off-season?
- Yes. We run the Cape year-round, not only during the summer season. Town offices, medical practices, schools and professional firms on the Cape keep printing through the winter, and they get the same response as our mainland accounts.
- Can you service a copier in Hyannis, Sandwich, Falmouth or Woods Hole?
- Yes — all four, plus Barnstable, Mashpee, Bourne, Yarmouth, Dennis, Chatham, Orleans and out to Provincetown. Call 508-833-9769 or use the request service form and tell us the machine and the symptom.
- Do I have to be an ABS customer to get service on the Cape?
- No. We service Xerox AltaLink, VersaLink, PrimeLink, WorkCentre and Phaser equipment regardless of who sold or leased it, including machines another dealer stopped supporting.
- Can I lease a new copier for a Cape Cod office?
- Yes. You can build and price a configuration yourself with our quote tool, including LeaseFlex terms designed for seasonal businesses, and we deliver, install and train on-Cape.
