Four ways offices get supplies and service
Supplies included in your click rate
If you are on a cost-per-page agreement, you should never be buying toner from a website. Toner, drums, fusers, parts and labor are all inside the per-page rate, and the device usually orders its own toner automatically before you run out.
Buying supplies outright
Own your device and have no contract? You can still order genuine Xerox toner and staples from us. We stock the common consumables for VersaLink, AltaLink, PrimeLink and Versant lines instead of drop-shipping from a warehouse three states away.
Service without a lease
You do not need to lease from us to get service from us. We support Xerox equipment purchased elsewhere on a per-call or contract basis across Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts.
Local, not a national call center
The person who answers is in New Haven and the technician who shows up lives in your state. That is the whole reason we say you call, we come.
What a cost-per-page agreement includes
A click rate is one number that covers black and color toner, drums, fusers, rollers, parts, labor and preventive maintenance. You pay for the pages you print, not for a service visit. Paper and staples are the standard exceptions, and toner for a device you own outright can also be bought on its own.
If you are trying to work out whether your current rate is fair, run the numbers in our cost-per-page calculator. Most offices are surprised by what color clicks are really costing them once a year of volume is in front of them.
Genuine toner versus the cheap cartridge online
Aftermarket cartridges are the single most common cause of avoidable service calls we see. The powder chemistry is different, so it fuses at the wrong temperature, coats the drum, and shows up as streaking weeks later. The cartridge saved forty dollars and the drum replacement costs several hundred. On a service agreement, damage from non-genuine supplies is not covered, which is why every contract requires genuine Xerox consumables.
When to stop ordering toner and book service
- Streaks, lines or ghosting that come back after replacing toner
- Repeat paper jams in the same tray or the fuser area
- Color drifting or misregistering on bulletins and marketing pieces
- Scan-to-email quietly failing after a mail-server or password change
- A device that has passed its rated monthly duty cycle for months
If the device is old enough that you are weighing another repair against a replacement, the repair-or-replace tool gives you a straight answer in a couple of minutes, and our copier repair page covers what a service visit involves.
Where we cover
Our headquarters is at 1079 Whalley Ave, New Haven, CT 06515, and our service territory runs from Westchester to Provincetown: all of Connecticut, the Hudson Valley and Westchester in New York, and central and eastern Massachusetts. Supplies ship from our own stock rather than a national distribution center, which is why same-day and next-day is normal rather than exceptional.
